To create an island in an area of your plan you can use the function Bulding walls, that is to say linear walls that have no thickness compared to masonry walls and that are invisible in the 3D visualization. This type of walls is ideal to create islands, peninsulas and all the elements that don’t have to be matched to perimeter walls but inserted in the middle of the room. Click on Wall management and then choose one of the following three options to insert building walls:

  • press and hold pressed CTRL+W on the keyboard.
  • cclick on the icon on the command bar on the right side.
  • click onWalls and on the drop-down menu on Wall management.


Click on that you can find on the command bar on the left side, select Building Walls and set the height of the wall (fig. 1).

Then select the Two-sided wall option that allows inserting elements on both sides of the Building wall (fig. 2).

To draw a Bulding wall click on a starting point in the working space, move the mouse to set the direction and use the keyboard to insert the height in millimeter (fig. 3).

This option allows selecting one of the two wall sides according to the side you would like to visualize in the front view and to which you would like to match elements. To select one of the two sides click on Working wall and then on two-sided wall. Two arrows will appear (fig. 4).

Click on one of the two arrows according to the side you would like to select and to which you would like to match elements (fig. 4).

By clicking on the command Front view , the commands Change wall side and Delete wall side will appear on the upper part of the working space (fig. 5).

Change wall side allows changing directly the side visualized in front view (fig. 6). This means that you don’t have to visualize the wall in plan view again and select the command Working wall. The command Delete side wall deletes the side of the wall you have selected.
